Would you like commercial-grade quality and peak-power measuring capability on a budget? When you need measurements in the 2 to 2300 MHz frequency range and from 100 mW to 10 kW, you need to get your hands on one of these Coaxial Dynamics RF Peak Reading Wattmeters!
Combined with the appropriate element, Coaxial Dynamics RF wattmeters are very easy to use. Just connect the wattmeter between the RF power source and antenna or dummy load then rotate the element to select the forward or reflected direction. The RF power is displayed directly on the large, 4-1/2 in. triple-scale mirrored meter.
Peak reading meters are designed to measure RF power in peak envelope power (PEP) such as SSB (single-sideband), DSB (double-sideband) and AM (amplitude modulation) signals. Interchangeable standard plug-in elements, such as those used with Coaxial Dynamics averaging meters, work with these peak-reading meters. To complement each application and specific requirement, Plug-In Elements are selected separately by power and frequency ranges.
Similar in appearance and operation to their standard wattmeters, these devices convert from average reading to peak reading with the flip of a switch! This is accomplished by inserting a peak-reading amplifier between the element and the meter. With peak reading circuitry that operates on one 9 volt replaceable alkaline transistor battery (supplied), normal, portable usage is possible for at least 90 days or the life of the battery.
Versatile and strong, these wattmeters are protected by a rugged, virtually indestructible shock-proof housing. Coaxial Dynamics wattmeters employ a rugged shock mounted meter for dependable readings. Along with superior taut band meter technology, they provide consistently accurate readings that satisfy both the US Navy and Canadian standards for shock and vibration. This is your assurance of complete and dependable accuracy! Self-contained and requiring no line power in either Peak or Average mode, these RF wattmeters are the right choice for portability and functionality.
